Explore Portland's Moda Center
Formerly known as the Rose Garden, the Moda Center is located in downtown Portland's Rose Quarter - just 12 miles away from the Portland Embassy Suites Tigard hotel! The arena is most famous for wildly entertaining sporting events and is home to the National Basketball Association's Portland Trail Blazers and the Western Hockey League's Winterhawks. After entering the league in 1970, the Blazers called the Memorial Coliseum home before moving to the Rose Garden in the fall of 1995. In August 2013, the Trail Blazers signed a 10-year contract with Moda Health, an Oregon-based insurance company, and renamed the arena the Moda Center.
